After the War 1.The Treaty of Versailles 1919: Blamed Germany for the war and punished them. a.Forced the payment of reparations. b.Took land from Germany and gave it to the Allied Nations. c.Germany could have an army of no more than 100,000 troops. d.Military equipment was restricted

2.The Fourteen Points a.A plan put forth by the U.S. president Woodrow Wilson to make sure that wars of this type would never happen again. b.Called for the formation of the League of Nations, a governing body that would solve international disputes. c.The United States Senate rejected the treaty, so the U.S. did not participate in the League of Nations. Isolationism set in for the U.S.
