Introduction The Renaissance was a time of change. During Renaissance, many things had advanced. Art was one of them. Renaissance art was a new kind of art. It made many precious artists and masterpieces. Raffaello Santi was one of the great three people of Renaissance. Today I would love to tell about him.

Who was Raffello Santi? Raffaelo Santi(1483~1520) Raphael was the artist who had gotten Leornardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo’s merit, and he enjoyed the best honor while he lived. He learned the painting by his father- who was a court painter-, and he went to Firenze after his father’s death.

Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo acted for a while there, Raphael researched about their achievement, and he was rated as rival of Michelangelo. Four(4) years later, he abroaded to Rome and made great masterpieces- represent his life- while he lived there.

His major works like <Liberation of Saint Peter>, <School of Athens> were painted as fresco decorated the residence of pope. His portrait has character with delicate tone and calm mood, and it inspired painters like Rembrandt and Tiziano, a lot.

Raphael’s Paintings It is painting that ancient philosophiers and scientists met together. It shows the basic mind of the Renaissance based on humanities mind.
