2. Background Public Health have worked with the Pharmaceutical Industry since 2009. The Council currently has no position paper or clear guidelines for working with the pharmaceutical industry This policy gives the council the opportunity to work with pharmaceutical companies on a variety of projects

3. Aim To provide clear guidelines on how we should be working with the pharmaceutical industry across North East Lincolnshire.

4. Objectives To develop strong transparent partnership working with the pharmaceutical industry To encourage more joint working partnerships with the pharmaceutical industry to improve health and wellbeing of residents in North East Lincolnshire To support Council staff who have not worked with pharmaceutical companies previously To adopt the partnership policy framework To identify areas for investment within North East Lincolnshire To provide knowledge exchange between the council and commercial industry

Boehringer Ingelheim would be very happy to enter into future partnership projects based on this draft policy’.
