5 TCEQ Renewal Requirements Must be renewed every three years. Application and fee ($111) must be timely submitted. All water licenses 30 hours of Continuing Education (CE) to be eligible for renewal. All customer service inspector licenses require 16 hours of Continuing Education (CE) to be eligible for renewal. CE hours must be acquired prior to the expiration of the license and may be obtained any time during the validity of the license. Visit our webpage for a list of TCEQ approved training.

6 TCEQ Renewal Requirements Water Renewal Exceptions: Class A & B operators may not apply the "Basic Water Operation" course, or any course that is equivalent to Basic Water Operation, for renewal credit hours. Class D operators are not renewable for: surface water treatment plant operators; operators of groundwater production facilities under the influence of surface water; operators of groundwater production facilities with 250 or more connections or more than 750 population; operators working as supervisors in a distribution system with 250 or more connections; or for individuals who operate multiple systems where the total number of connections for all systems combined is 250 or more.
