Does the project presenter provide a clear and well-organized discussion of the project and respond effectively to judges’ questions? Does the project demonstrate mathematical concepts in an effective manner?

8 Title PagePrevious SlideContinued Investigations Beyond the Classroom: Students Creativity: Organization of Ideas, Thoroughness, and Clarity: Appearance: Does the project go beyond everyday classroom investigations in math? Does the project demonstrate creative and innovative ideas? Does the project demonstrate good organization of ideas, thoroughness, and clarity? Is the project neat, attractive, and designed to fit the ideas demonstrated?

9 Title PagePrevious SlideContinued During the judging, each project must be represented by 1 or 2 students whose names appear on the project. One student can not be substituted for another in the interview. The total project must not be more than 1 meter in width, by 1 meter in depth, by 1 1/4 meters in height and sit on the table top. Models are permitted in the area surrounded by the display board. Only projects that won First, Second, Third, or Honorable Mention in one of the three Regional 2008 NCCTM Math Fairs are eligible to compete in the 2008 State Math Fair.
