11  态度决定一切  成功源自好习惯  好的伙伴,成功一半

12  How to start?  Have your purpose of learning English. * stage plan:  What level you are at?  Choose the way to learn English according to yourself.  Can you learn English by self-study, on the radio, on the internet.  Study hard and insist on learning continuously for years.

13  Learn to take the initiative  If you “take the initiative” in a situation, you are the first person to do something important or to make the move first.  Set specific learning goals for yourself and print them on paper, hang the paper at a place where they can easily be seen.  Find a learning partner so that you can encourage and help each other to get over the difficulties.

14  Find a role model who succeeded through hard work. It can be someone around you or someone you got to know through books.  Talk with other learners and find out what they enjoy in learning English. You may share similar feeling.  Relate English learning with anything you are interested in doing. For instance, you like watching movies. Then watch English movie. You like making friends. Then go to English corner.  Reward yourself now and then for your hard work.

15  Learn to use resources  finding out how useful English is in your life. English is every where. If you have sharp eyes, sharp ears and a desire to learn, you will be surprised to discover that you are actually surrounded by rich learning resources.  Reference books  Dictionary Learn to use dictionaries.  Internet

16  Learn to use dictionaries.  You must have at least one dictionary, with both Chinese and English explanations such as Oxford, Longman, Webster or Collins build dictionaries of this type.  Some electronic dictionaries may appear handier, but they may not be as reliable as tbose printed dictionaries by established press houses.

18 Learn to use resources  **** memory  We seem to have covered all the possible resources we can think of. But there’s the biggest resource that we haven’t mentioned. That is memory.  A good memory makes our learning “once and for all”, and a bad memory leads to learning in vain. People are not born with good memories. They develop them with practice

19 Learn to speak  Speak or read in a loud voice in class. That’s easy for all of you to do but as I know it is difficult for you to follow. Don’ t be shy if you want to express yourself in public. If you can speak and read in a loud voice, the whole class will listen to you attentively and you will be full of confidence be encouraged to learn it well.

20  Learn to read  READ  READ, read some more,  READ things you yourself enjoy.  READ, and talk about it.  READ very carefully some things  READ on the run, most things,  Don’t think about READING, but ….  READ

22 Learn to take notes.  Learn to take notes.  for collecting the key points in class or out of class while reading English magazines or newspapers.  for keeping a diary in English every day.  For collecting your mistakes

23 Speak or read in a loud voice in class. Listen to others carefully. Have a good preview and review after class. Recitation is very important.
