Bubble Features Click on an icon to activate feature

Getting Bubble Help Hold cursor over icon until balloon appears or, look in Help window at lower right of Screen.

Adding Bubble Text Click on center of bubble to activate text window. Highlight the text in window and type in new text.

Editing Bubble Text Click on center of bubble and highlight the text to be edited. Type in the new text.

Changing Bubble Color Click on bubble’s set color icon to activate color feature. Use sliders to change color, saturation and lightness. Click OK to execute and save changes to bubble.

Bubble Parents, Siblings and Children Click on new sibling icon to create sibling Click on new child icon to create child.

Creating Directional Lines to Bubbles Click on free connect icon and drag to create a directional line to another bubble. Release when blue halo appears around bubble.

Deleting Directional Lines to Bubbles Position cursor over line to be deleted until an X appears in the line and the cursor shape changes to a hand. Double click to delete line.

Undoing the Last or Previous Bubble Actions To undo the last or a previous action, click on the Undo control in upper left of screen. Help balloon Total number of actions that can be undone. Most recent action the control will Undo. Click repeatedly to Undo earlier actions.

Positioning All Bubbles Click to center initial bubble on screen Click to return all bubbles to their initial positions. To move all bubbles at once, left-click on an empty area of the sheet and drag. Release when the bubbles are positioned. Other screen controls in the upper left corner that can be used to change the positions of all bubbles at once:

Expanding the Size of a Sheet Click to expand size of sheet Expand screen size by clicking on the Toggle Full Screen control. Click again to return to the previous screen size.

Zooming In or Out On a Bubble Sheet To zoom in or out on a sheet, click on the + or – Zoom icon located in the upper left of the screen. The percent next to the word Zoom indicates the current zoom level. Click to zoom in Click to zoom out Current zoom level

Printing Bubble Sheets To print a sheet, left-click on Set Print Area. Choose either Fit All or Screen. Click Setup & Print to setup user selected printer and to print sheet. Preview shows how image will appear in portrait or landscape mode. Fit All mode has been selected for printing.

Creating, Saving, Loading, Renaming and Deleting Sheets Loads new sheet Loads, Renames or Deletes the sheet highlighted in blue. The name of the highlighted sheet appears in the Editing window.

Saved Bubble Sheets List pane Select the My Sheets tab. A complete list of all sheets saved by the user will appear in the list pane on the right side of the screen. The list pane is not visible if the sheet has been expanded.

Adding Bubble Friends Friends with accounts at bubbl.us can be added to the Friends list so that user sheets can be shared. To add friends, type their name or email address in the Find friend box. Bubbl.us searches its database and lists possible friends. Click on names in the list to add them to Friends list.

Sharing Bubble Sheets Saved sheets can be shared with friends. To share a sheet, first highlight the name of the sheet to be shared on the My Sheets list. Click on Sharing in the sheet options. The Share sheet will appear. Click on Sharing to share sheet with friends.

Sharing Bubble Sheets (cont.) Files can be shared with selected friends as either full edit or read-only access. To choose the type of access, click on the appropriate icon next to a friend’s name. Click Submit when finished. The selected sheet will now appear in the Collaborate sheet of each selected friend. On the Share sheet, the users friends list will appear. Full edit Read-only

Collaborating with Bubble Friends Files that have been shared with you by friends will appear in a list on the Collaborate sheet. Each shared sheet will have a yellow star. The type of access a sheet has is indicated by an icon to its right. Full edit access permits a friend to edit a shared sheet. Read-only access only allows a friend to read a shared sheet. Full edit access Read-only access

Exporting Bubble Sheets By selecting Export from the Menu options on a sheet, the sheet can be exported as an image, XML or HTML file. When opened, an HTML file will show a written outline of the sheet. After selecting an option and clicking OK, bubbl.us will ask to Save or Open the sheet in the selected format.

Importing Bubble Sheets Sheets that have been exported as XML files can be imported into other sheets by selecting Import from the Menu options. The imported XML file can be appended to or replace the sheet that is currently open for editing.

Email Messages and Bubble Links An email message with link to a sheet can be sent to anyone by selecting the Send Read-only Link from the Menu options. Recipients of the email will be able to read the sheet after clicking on the link.

The HTML code for a sheet can be selected for embedding in a web page by selecting the HTML Embed Code option. After embedding the HTML code, the sheet can be viewed as a webpage. Display Bubble Sheets on the Web

Editing Bubble Screen Effects

A bubbl.us sheet has a limited number of screen effects that can be turned on or off as desired by selecting Editor Settings... from the Menu options. When a bubble is deleted, it can disappear in a burst of smoke and flame along with the sound of an explosion. The textured background paper of a bubbl.us sheet can also be turned on or off.
