Skill- building exercises like skimming, scanning, and reading for specific information will help you to focus on the passage.  Pay attention to the first sentence. It usually gives main idea of the passage.  Read the question first, when you read, you can look for answers.  Make an Intelligent Guess if you are not sure of the answers.
