COURSE DESCRIPTION Students taking this English course will be provided with the opportunity to learn the four main skills in the master of language:  listening  Speaking  Reading  Writing Prepare them to face situations like:  Academic or Educational opportunities  Business  Travelling abroad

4. General Objective: To promote in learners the acquisition of a second language, in our case English, in order to prepare them for academic opportunities, jobs and travelling abroad. Specific Objectives:  To create communicative context where English is the main language.  To develop in students an ability to interact with their peers.  To provide learners with the best methodological techniques for SLA.  To introduce the use of technology as a tool to learn.

5. OBJECTIVES AT THE END OF THE COURSE:  Learners will use English grammar to produce adequate utterances in L2.  Students are expected to be efficient speakers in all the oral and communicative contexts where English is used.  Learners become better listeners and speakers of English.  Learners become more effective and comprehensive readers in English.  Learners will be able to produce well-structured texts in the second language.

6. ACTIVITIES  Cooperative work (small groups)  Native speaker classes.  Oral presentations.  Reading comprehension tests. Extra activities online:  Listening exercises  forums and discussions in the website blog.  Writing exercises to be posted.

7. ASSESSMENT  Students will be assessed by the teacher during all the activities, in order to do achieve successfully the SLA process.  Self-assessment to learners be aware of what the have dine during the course.
