"Jason, when did your passion for photography? And why are they gone out of travel photos and became the military reporter? My interest in photography began in high school, I tried himself in the sport and photos of wildlife before I started traveling. Several years I was making travel photography, a little bit, but I have enough to travel, plus I have worked in a camera shop. With time my photos started to seem meaningless, because everyone who travels with a camera and makes a sufficient number of pictures sooner or later collects a good travel portfolio. I also wanted to do something more specialized and work on those that would require much more time. Wanted adventure and, so to say, to test himself, to feel its own scope.

"Tell me about your camera, you must have some interesting story, with them it is connected. My first camera was a good old Zenit E, from which moved to Fujica STX. Later I tried almost all of the cameras of the Nikon, but still quite a long time dreamed to work Leica M6. In 1998 I bought it and a couple of lenses, and since then I have always had at least one M6-th, with the exception of 2007, when I was staying in a financial decline, literally Zaretsky district ever return to war. Within a few hours after their arrival in Kabul, I received another job for 5000 dollars, months I had a lot of work. It so happened that the man who bought me my next 18 th watering can, agreed to sell it back, and I decided not to miss this chance, because it is the camera I took the whole project in Colombia! But I missed her. Now I have no plans to reunite with her again.

-Some of your pictures of the most successful? - I don't know which one of my staff is the best, but for me personally important is a photo of a wounded Colombian soldier lying on the road beside his dead partner. For me it was really the first experience of the war, which became a starting point for my further life. "That feels photographer when photographs of the death of a person? I never photographed the process of death, I only made pictures of people who were forcibly killed for a second to that, I have nikoga had no problems, connected with images of corpses. What is really difficult, because it is removed alive but wounded, suffering from various ills, grief- stricken. I'm doing this, though, and requires greater inner strength and control, than taking pictures of the dead, which is deprived of emotions.

-Do you believe that the picture can change something? - I think that photos can motivate people to do something good, and sometimes bad things. Used in is not the purpose of the card can provoke a conflict, and there are just a few examples of when a picture is something really solved. I can't imagine a world without conflicts " there was nothing in our history does not Herald the fact that people ever stop killing each other. I see the pictures of conflict only as a historical documentation or proof, unfortunately, people are slowly learning from past events.
