Intros Alicia D. Johnson is the Resilience and Recovery Manager for the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management, but what that really means is she brings people together to protect the people and places we love. She’s an avid photographer and can’t turn down a good non- fiction book. She resides in Sonoma, CA

Intros Kevin Smith, a Certified Emergency Manager, serves as the Director of Emergency Disaster Services for the Florida Division of The Salvation Army. He began working The Salvation Army in 1996. His notable disaster deployments and leadership roles include the 1996 Value Jet crash, support provided to operations at the Pentagon and the establishment of the overall feeding program at Ground Zero in New York City.

Intros Dan Risteen is a major with 29 years with the Massachusetts State Police and serves as the Division of Field Services Troop C Commanding Officer. Troop C provides coverage for 85 cities/towns in Central Massachusetts. A primary responsibility for the past 3 years has been the Boston Marathon, where he served as the Deputy Incident Commander for the State Police. This has included operational planning for safety and security at the Hopkinton start line venue.

Intros Col “Bill” DeMarco has an enduring passion for leadership and helping others lead organizations to amazing results. He holds three masters degrees and a fellowship at Stanford’s Hoover Institution and Cambridge’s Judge Business School, England. He has commanded at the Squadron, Group, and Wing level, teaches leadership at the USAF’s Air University, Auburn University Montgomery, is an international speaker, and a Senior Associate with GiANT Worldwide.
