GLOBAL WARMING By Evan Shanks and Carson Duca
2
GLOBAL WARMING DEFINITION A gradual increase in the overall temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants.

OUR PROPOSAL We will raise the average price of gas $5.oo for major cities considered a metropolitan city (cities that use the most cars) and the rest of the U.S. will have an average price of $4.oo. Also we will make many electric cars for the same price of gas fueled cars so people will convert to electric cars much easier. For now on there will be no pollutant based factories and depending on what region the factory is built in, they will use solar power, water power, and wind turbines and we will get big companies to convert to these energy types. The Americans will only have to convert to electric cars within the next 2 years and they will pay a little more taxes to pay for the new energy sources. “We the people” will experience less pollution and a better Earth if they vote for us. We will team up with Norway, Netherlands, and Japan because Norway uses the most electric cars out of any country. Netherlands is 2 nd and they are a strong economic country. Finally we will team up with Japan because they use the 6 th most electric cars and we are already teamed up with Japan. These countries will meet to talk about electric cars and other ways to stop global warming.

MORE ABOUT ELECTRIC CARS Average charge time 30 Minutes and the ratio of gas station to charging stations will start at 1:1 and when the demand goes down for gas, there will be more charging stations. The cheapest used electric car is $16,500 and the cheapest new electric car is $22,350 which is the Mitsubishi iMiEV and if people can’t afford that we will lower the price to $12,000 for them. (they can have up to a yearly plan also) The Mitsubishi iMiEV can go 62 miles on a full charge and if you drive longer than that you will probably need to pay more. But if you drive less than that you can just the car at your house over night. The price of electric cars will go down $1,500 every 15% more electric cars are used.

MORE ABOUT NEW ENERGY BASED FACTORIES For what source of energy each factory gets it depends and what each city has the most of the three sources. (Wind, Water, Solar). For example, most of California will have solar power, most of the Dakotas will have wind turbines, and most of Florida would have water power. Rainfall Wind Solar
