Publishing e-books can avoid this considerable expenditure item. It is understandable that quite a number of readers still prefer hardcopy. Printing a small number of hardcopies is economically not feasible.

21. Challenges 3/11/2011 21 IFMS GM2 About 3 to 4 academic papers per year. Need to attract more academic paper submission. Indeed China and Hong Kong are not short of academic papers. Most of them in Chinese. New Effort: Trying to translate 5 Chinese academic papers to English for the Volume 20, 2010 issue. Now we discover the manpower for language translation is enormous.

22. Challenges 3/11/2011 22 IFMS GM2 How to attract high quality papers? Indeed China and Hong Kong are publishing many academic papers in meteorology. Possibility of SCI list journal? What are the requirements? What are the procedures? What are the cost?
