Season dates/payment schedule – March 20 th Entries close – April 13 th Registrations due + 25% fees due – Balance + court hire to be paid May 15 th – Season starts April 18 – Season ends Sept 19

Thompson Trophy High School competition 16 teams, 2 divisions 7 week Round Robin/ 4 week ‘Sweet 16’ tournament home court advantage Home/away in school Gyms Tuesday evenings 6pm Split season Schools provide venue/supervisor/bench/Stats All star game (with exciting potential sponsor)

New on-line player registration system 1.Player registers online to a club 2.CBA contacts club with list of registered players 3.Club rep replies with issues 4.Club sends through team lists 5.Comp Admin puts players into teams

Score-sheets and stats Competitions Administrator will be responsible for ensuring active players for each team are on scoresheet, and will send through copies for use at games. Scoresheets will be scanned for all CBA games and available on our website

Live Stats (Thompson Trophy) Hosting School provides two people (one scout, and one scorer) Windows Laptop required for scorer (needs mouse input, or touchpad). Windows 7 or 8 officially supported, though 10, Vista and XP may also work too. Competitions Admin will send through game files for all games that will have stats recorded by LiveStats (including other competition games if desired) Statistics will then be integrated onto our website once returned to CBA Some training for use of this will be provided

Club Referee/score bench policy/BBNZ rules training 1.4 per club for score bench 2.At least 1 must be capable of refereeing if required 3.Compulsory BBNZ training 14/15 March

AGM date/timeframes for Board nominations, motions Date and Venue 31 st March, 7pm, Equestrian Hotel ( 28 days notice) Board Vacancies/nominations (28 days notice call for nominations for elected board members, 21 days received) Notices of Motion Must be received 21 days prior Agenda Published: 14 days prior

Match Rules FIBA Numbers allowed Notice of clashes at entry (i.e. educational trips etc) Deferrals now have formalized steps to follow if teams agree to a deferral within 21 days Online Registration now instead of paper – Already covered by Competitions Administrator

Match Rules – Performance Pathways NBL and WBC players “graded” by us based on average minutes/game instead of being labeled as a “development player” (players still in, and playing for their, school will still be eligible to continue competing for their school). Still allowed to play two grades in the Development Pathway Competitions

Health & Safety New Regulations “ Health and Safety Reform Bill” due to start 1 st July, 2015. Catalyst was Pike River PCBU “duty holder” Worker: Person carrying out work for PCBU ( including volunteers) “ Defining test” Take all reasonable steps to eliminate or minimise risk. Policy and Training “Proof” policy is being adhered to Incident Register Notification from players/coaches/ Floor controllers should incident occur. Mouth guards

Patagonia Cup We’ve been invited to enter a Men’s team in the Argentina tournament again, held at the beginning of 2016 Offer of a subsidy on our travel EOI’s for coach will go out soon
