RESULTS contd Evidence ‘there has been a significant reduction in deforestation in our area since the project involves several women from various areas thus reduces deforestation for garden use as we are now combined and operate in a centralised area. 26. RESULTS contd ‘this initiative has strengthened our image in society. In a male dominated society the project has helped increase our status rating as wed as we are now viewed as independent and self reliant people. The project has brought about a lot of education and in some cases through this project women have actually been elevated to households heads.
