Sites and visits in Washington National Museum of Natural History Recognized as one of the world's great centres for the study of humankind and our natural surroundings, this museum incorporates a total floor area of more than 20 acres. Permanent exhibitions span two floors in halls radiating from a cavernous central rotunda where a record eight-ton (*,128-kg) African bush elephant is displayed.

Next steps for booking with European Study Tours Provisional Booking - A provisional booking will be held for a maximum of four weeks for coach, rail and Eurostar tours. To confirm this tour, send us your completed firm booking form and deposits of £50 per paying person. Provisional bookings are not possible for air tours, deposits of £80 (European tours) and £100 (worldwide tours) per paying person and a completed firm booking form are required. Firm Booking - Once you have made a firm booking, you will receive a comprehensive Group Leader's Travel Pack, including a Time Out Guide (or similar). We will then begin work on planning your programme of subject specific visits and excursions. Groups can make use of our excellent pre-booking service for museums, subject specific visits, theme parks, meals and other excursions. Final payments - Final payment for your tour will be due ten weeks before departure. At this point we will also ask you for your final details such as your names list. Your final pack - Approximately three weeks prior to departure, we will send your Final Information Pack including your tickets, your finalised itinerary and other essential information. Your trip! – Enjoy your trip. From the moment you leave, our staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, equipped with every detail of your tour in the unlikely event that you should encounter any difficulties for complete peace of mind
