Updating the Atmospheric Emission Inventory Guidebook (Chapter 10) Incorporation of new background information and emission factors for ammonia sources Progress has been made on a number of subchapters New Chapter on particulate matter Links with IPCC Guidelines – ensure consistency and avoid duplication

5. Revision of the Guidance Document on Control Techniques for Preventing & Abating Emissions of Ammonia Completed to take account of BAT Reference documents Informal document Agreement from EB – submitted as an official document (some time in 2007)

6. Framework Advisory Code of Good Agricultural Practice for Reducing Ammonia Emission Published in 2000 – agreed the need for update Discuss at next meeting Important to ensure consistency between Guidance Document and the Code

Future Activity Continue to seek ways to improve emission inventories [Joint TFEIP/TFIAM (30-31 October) in Greece] Set up informal network of experts - harmonised approach to cost calculations Update Framework Advisory Code of Good Agricultural Practice Continue to support for Capacity Building in EECCA Countries

Future Activity: Support for Capacity Building in EECCA Countries Next meeting at venue to attract EECCA Experts Seminar on ammonia inventories and abatement targeted towards EECCA countries Secretariat to outline the activity of the Group at CAPACT Workshop on International Air Monitoring, Data and Reporting (17-19 October 2006, in Almaty)

9. Workshops & Conferences Ammonia Workshop in Edinburgh (4-6 December 2006): UK will host jointly with TFMM. First International Ammonia Conference (19- 21 March 2007, in Ede) jointly organised by the Netherlands and Germany
