How did the Frontier war change the Native American’s life?  It affected the Native American’s life because the cowboys came in and started to take their land and homes. So the Native American’s got in a war with the Texan’s and the Texan’s came up with an idea to kill off all of the buffalo so that it will hurt the Indians and they will move away and give up there land but then the Texan’s heard that they can get a lot of money buy selling the buffalo hide.

Buffalo  The cowboys took the hide from the buffalo and sole it to the north because the north was offering a lot of money foe the buffalo hide. So the cowboys killed off the buffalo for 2 reasons to sell it and to hurt the Indians and run them off of there land. So the buffalo were good for the cowboys to get a good profit and earn a lot of money. So the buffalo were killed off and the Indians were moved to a new location where they had to live a new life and the cowboys became rich.

How did the Frontier War change the cattle industries ?  The people forgot all about the cattle during the war so all the cattle started populating and when the people came back there were about five million heads of cattle so the people started building barbed wire fences around there cattle and started the cattle drive up through Oklahoma City. When the people wanted to go through a place and there was a fence in the way they would cut through the barbed fence and that would cause a fight so the government made a law that said that you have to have a gate built on your fence so the people would not cut through your fences and you will not get in a fight.

Boom and bust cycle  The boom and bust cycle is a period of safe profits followed by a sharp decline. Meaning that profits of something will be good but when other countries come in for the same thing the profits will begin to decline and go down bad. Which then people will stop buying and selling those things until the profits go back up and the people selling get more money. So the boom and bust is like a wheel it keeps going in circles until it ends.

Spindle top  Anthony Lucas, an Austrian-born mining engineer, has been supervising the drilling of an oil well since October 2, 1900. Has been searching for oil on his land for a long time and he was just about to sell his land when he hit oil and the oil was shooting 200 feet above the well. First it was shooting mud and dirt when it quit shooting the mud and dirt the crew went to go clean up when unexpectedly the well started gushing about over 3 million gallons of oil.

Cynthia Ann Parker  She was born June 2, 1824 and captured by the Comanche’s when she was just a kid. She was raised as an Indian her hole life. But then her parents found her and took her back to the city and she was so used to her life as an Indian that she became home sick and died because she was not used to the way of life that her parents wanted her to live.

Buffalo soldiers  Were African-American soldiers serving in the United States Army. They got there name from the Native Americans even though they did not like the Americans but they still had respect for them and gave them the name Buffalo soldiers and just because the Native Americans were there enemy does not mean you can’t still have respect in each other.
