Introduction  A simple machine is a machine that does work with only one movement.  Simple machines make work easier by:  Changing the direction of the force,  Decreasing the amount of force required, OR  Decreasing the distance a force is applied  There are six simple machines:  Inclined plane  Wedge  Screw  Lever  Wheel and axle  Pulley

3. Task  You will be assigned to a specific part of this webquest and will be given special tasks and resources that can be used to complete the task.  NOTE: Our book discusses SIX simple machines.
