STAFFORD ACADEMIES FOR TECHNOLOGY “S.T.A.T. ACADEMY” 13 4 year program with emphasis on integration of math, science, and technology in career pathways that include Information Technology and Engineering. BPHS: Information Technology Academy NSHS: Biomedical Sciences NSHS & SSHS: Engineering and Technology Students generally attend the Academy for two blocks in Mathematics, Science, and Career & Technical Education throughout the year. Students will complete other course work necessary for graduation at their base school.

S.T.A.T. ACADEMY 14 Applications are available on the Stafford County Schools website: http://stafford.schoolfusion.us/ Visit STAT link under “Instructional Programs” then “Signature Programs” Applications available online. Due March 24, 2016 STAT students are offered rigorous academics combined with technical knowledge in areas of specific interest. STAT students are required to earn the Advanced Diploma. COMMONWEALTH GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL 15 Provides gifted and highly motivated high school students with a half-day challenging program in English, Science, Mathematics, and Social Studies. BPHS FLIGHT SCHOOL (AUGUST 24TH) 16 Purpose: Allows 9 th grade students the opportunity to meet and greet their classmates & faculty/staff. Morning Assembly to include Tour of School Overview of Programs, Clubs and Extra-Curricular Activities Question and Answer Session/Tips for High School Success Preview of Student Agenda Lunch followed by a Pep Rally! All 9 th grade students should receive an invitation for Flight School over the summer
