2 About Us Spires Engineering are an official Dassault Partner, intimate in the knowledge of all aspects of the CATIA software package allowing us to offer the best support to our clients during every step of design process from inception to finished production design. Set up in 2004, Spires Engineering primarily offered Design Engineering and CAD solution to the Aerospace industry. Over the last 10 years, we have improved, expanded and refined our capacities to offer a wide range of services for the engineering sector including FEA and composite design We have offices across the UK and a global presence with operations in the UAE and India UK UAE INDIA

Our design team can operate both on-site or remotely Working with you we can produce documents of detailed drawings so you can portray the finest detail of your designs We can annotate drawings to display ISO/ASME/DIN standard information on the geometry and tolerances of your designs to ensure precision in manufacture As a Dassault partner we can use the latest CATIA software package to produce a 3D surface model of every component of your design. Building from 2D drawings or forming directly in a 3D environment, we have complete freedom to manipulate the design to requirements. Modelled parts can then be assembled into entire systems so you can have analysis of behaviour before the first cut of material is made.

We specialise in fatigue and damage tolerance, modelling components using CATIA and performing stress analysis using the leading MSC software packages We can produce detailed finite element models for component assemblies, providing full static and fatigue analysis reports including:  Linear and non-linear static  Modal and dynamic analysis  Fatigue failure prediction  Stress concentrations  Max strain  Bearing  Post buckling All according to design requirements

We can cover the entire spectrum of composite product development, including zone based and grid based laminate definition, global product behaviour We can help you reduce costs and fabrication cycle time by pre-empting shape anomalies caused by manufacturing methods by simulating the manufacturing process and performing necessary compensations to the design

6 WWW.SPIRESENGINEERING.CO.UK Computational Fluid Dynamics We transfer the models created in CATIA to ANSYS to perform a full analysis of vehicle or component flow Aircraft load and forces calculation and analysis  Ability in post processing result; with the ability to provide vital data in aerodynamic loads, forces and polar graphs necessary for further design decision. Subsonic, transonic, supersonic and hypersonic flows.  Conducting flows at designed mach number to predict behaviour of the vehicle both globally and locally Laminar and turbulent low analysis.  Simulating vehicles under laminar and turbulent flows to predict shocks under various Reynolds number and using best turbulent models to bring about the best results. External and Internal flow.  Capability of conducting both external and internal flows for various application to provide data for further design analysis Heat transfer  Analysis of thermal boundary layer in given flow field around the component.

Although PLM can mean many different things to different companies, Spires are focused upon the CAD Data Management aspect of PLM. Supporting clients with the introduction of Life cycles, & electronic releasing. Typically helping with introducing rigour and improved version control for releasing of CAD data. For this reason understanding the changing emphasis & demands placed upon the data is critical.
