Missed: A scheduled test that is not received within the test window. Late: A test that is received after a missed test, but before the next scheduled test. Positive: A test result of.02 BrAC or higher, which will initiate a retest cycle * (SL2 will report alcohol tests scores between.02 -.40 BrAC) Compliant Secondary: The first test result below.02 BrAC that follows a positive test and is within the secondary test window. Helpful Reminders Prior to Installation 18 Prior to beginning the enrollment process it is recommended the client be tested for the presence of alcohol using a PBT or other alcohol testing device. If a PBT or other alcohol testing device is not available, have the client take an unscheduled test after the enrollment process to show the presence or absence of alcohol. Test scores are viewed in the Web Portal

New devices will require activation on the Monitoring Web Portal. Once logged in, select “Enroll New Client”. Power the SL2 On and select “Start” with the left display button to view the device information. The device will display the Device ID and Security PIN and will begin checking for activation via the portal. Device ID can also be located on the bottom of the unit Set-up 19

Testing 23 DO Use the SOBERLINK mouthpiece. Hold the device at eye level. Look directly into camera. Take a deep breath. Deliver a firm, steady stream of air. DON’T Wear sunglasses or hats. Place fingers on the mouthpiece. Obstruct the camera in any way. Block the back air vent. Use device in extreme temperatures (operating temp is 32-105˚F).

Log on to your account and choose Edit under the client who has finished using SOBERLINK. Click the Stop Monitoring button. This will move the client, along with all client’s tests, to the Archive Section and will “release” the Device to be activated under a new client’s name. Stop Monitoring 29

Additional Device Screens 30 Menu Options. To access or exit the Menu, click both display buttons simultaneously. The power button will act as a selection button. Test History. All testing attempts will be recorded in the history. Use the display buttons to scroll through the tests and the power button to select a test. Check For Updates. The device firmware can be sent updates which can be manually pulled or will automatically update upon the next test. Reset Device. To ensure the device is not accidentally reset, a certain button combination must be keyed after selecting this option. Test Details. The test details may include the BrAC result and error details if applicable. Air Blank Test. Use this option to check for calibration issues or device damage. Device should test blank air at 0.000.

Additional Device Screens 31 Device Info Screen. From the home screen, hold down the left display button. While holding, click the right button once and continue holding the left until the screen appears. Error Screen. Includes self-diagnosed description of error and resolution. Charging Icon. Battery icon when the battery is dead but charging. Connect to Power. Battery icon when the battery is too low to power the device. Alcohol Detected. This will occur if a BrAC level of.02 or higher is submitted. The client will be prompted to retest if they are enrolled in retesting on the Schedule page of the portal. Compliant Test. A test sent with a BrAC below.02 will result in a compliant test successfully sent screen.
