2 Treaty of Versailles The Treaty of was one of the peace treaties at the end of World War I. It ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. It was signed on 28 June 1919.

3 Rise of Fascism in Italy One leader and one party. Everything in society is controlled by the government. No opposition or protests are tolerated Propaganda and censorship are widely practiced.

4 Great Depression 1929 stock market crashed in the United States Economies plummeted. Many people turned to powerful leaders and governments.

10 American Isolationism The U.S. was in a major depression throughout the 1930s and was mostly concerned with its own problems America stayed neutral
