When do you use the Present Perfect? You can make the present perfect by using: has/have + past participle You use has in a sentence if the subject is he/she/it, otherwise you use have We use the present perfect tense: - Something that started in the past and is still goes on - Something we have done several times in the past and are still doing it - When we are talking about our experience up to the present - Something that happened in the past but is important at the present

Examples I have seen that movie twenty times. I think I have met him once before. There have been many earthquakes in California. People have traveled to the Moon. People have not traveled to Mars. Have you read the book yet? Nobody has ever climbed that mountain. A: Has there ever been a war in the United States? B: Yes, there has been a war in the United States.
