Lake Minatare is the smallest of the District’s elementary buildings Enrollment today is 65 compared to last year’s 78 students Enrollment has decreased due to 6 th grade going to Bluffs Middle School 50% of our students qualify as Free or Reduced, which is up 7% from last year Lake Minatare Free/Reduced in 2012-13 was 43.04% 44.18% State Average

80 % White, 16% Hispanic, 2% Asian, 2% Black or African American There have been no significant changes in this area for the last three years We have two classrooms that are multi-grade 1 st /2 nd grades classroom 2 nd /3 rd /4 th grades classroom Allows for students to be grouped by their instructional needs Allow for efficient use of staffing within the building

Quality Teaching and Instructional Programming Implementation of 2 nd Step and ACES programming 2 nd Step is a program designed to teach children social and emotional skills Addresses feeling recognition and coping Calming techniques Listening skills Conflict Resolution ACES (All Children Experience Success) program is being implemented at all grade levels

Teachers work closely together to create a family- friendly atmosphere Parent Club created a new motto Students raised $200 for Pennies for Patients Morning Meetings have been a huge success in articulating expectations and building unity Staff retention All staff (including para educators) returned this year to Lake Minatare!
