How will this class help you? Hey Clint, I just recently got done with an interview for an IT hire, and man... A lot of 374 stuff came up for the interview. I had to talk about software development cycles, create a pretty complex context diagram, and I definitely talked about my experience with Texas Court Office. I got second round decision almost immediately, and I am feeling pretty confident! Just wanted to let you know that. Have a great weekend! -Recent MIS graduate Subject: MIS374 Helped Me Nail My Interview! Sent: Friday, February 8, 2013 at 12:21 PM

From: Cory Delany, Spring 2015 graduate Hey Professor, Hope your summer is starting off well! I just started full-time with Dell on Monday, and within the past three days I have already come across nearly every concept we went over in class this past semester. Part of Dell’s recent transformation includes embracing new industry standards, including Agile methodology. In reviewing the documentation for the project I’ll be starting with I’ve studied context diagrams, stakeholder analyses, backlogs, risk management, scope management, user stories, the whole gamut. …I figured I’d give you further testimony to the value of the 374 class as I feel it has prepared me for what I’ll be doing starting my career more than any other class. Best, Cory
