Fluid or tissue passing from the vagina

Medication can be prescribed to expel the pregnancy tissue and placenta quickly
A minor surgical procedure known as D&C
If there are no signs of infection, you may chose to let the miscarriage progress naturally

Often, there’s nothing you can do to prevent it, but one vital step is to remain as healthy as you can prior to the pregnancy.
