1 AMBASSADOR LEARNING OUTCOMES presented by Rob MacKay Manager, Marketing and Engagement, Vikes Athletics and Recreation Presenting on behalf of Zac Andrus, Campus Engagement Officer

3 AMBASSADOR PROGRAM STATS 100 total ambassadors (65 with 5+ hours of volunteering) Days of Thunder - 32 volunteers (165 hours total) Nearly 3,000 total hours volunteered STUDENT EVENT PARTICIPATION GROWTH 2013-14 10 events 3,523 students attended Average # of students per event = 352 2014-15 19 events 10,162 students attended Average # of students per event = 535 2015-16 24 events 17,040 students attended Average # of students per event = 710

4 Create sustainable learning outcomes that will help guide our programming for the Vikes Nation Ambassador Program and help define and improve what our students are gaining from being part of it. VISION Limited time to dedicate to project Challenges Learning outcomes are an enormous opportunity to anchor the Vikes Nation Ambassador Program and keep us on track for continuous improvement. 5 LEARNING OUTCOMES 1. Vikes Nation Ambassadors-At-Large who log 10 or more hours on MyVolunteerPage will be able to implement interpersonal skills in a public setting as demonstrated by an assessment rubric used during an ambassador meeting at the end of the school year in March. 2. Vikes Nation Specialized Team Members who are assigned a personal project within their team will be able to employ organizational skills as demonstrated by an assessment rubric used during an ambassador meeting at the end of the school year in March.

6 LEARNING OUTCOMES 3. Vikes Nation Team Leads who perform Coaching 5 times will be able to confidently have coaching conversations with their teams as demonstrated by an assessment rubric used during an ambassador meeting at the end of the school year in March. 4. Spirit Crew Members who log 20 or more hours on MyVolunteerPage will be able to implement engagement strategies with crowds as demonstrated by an assessment rubric used during an ambassador meeting at the end of the school year in March.
