EU 2009: implementing measures for motors EC :July 2009 implementing measures for motors under the eco design directive Mandatory introduction of minimum efficiency class IE2, will start on 16 of June 2011. Regulate the use of motors efficiency class IE3: January 2015: motors of 7,5-375 kW and January 2017: motors of 0,75-375 kW shall: – Be the IE3 efficiency level, or – the IE2 and with a variable speed drive.
