4. What is Curator The Earth System Curator project, in partnership with the Earth System Grid (ESG), is building a web portal that links model components and data together via metadata. The portal enables components, models, simulations, and data to be searched, browsed, downloaded, and compared. The portal and metadata were used to support the ASP 2008 Colloquium Project is part of the larger ESMI effort. Cecelia Deluca is the PI, Sylvia Murphy is the project manager. The portal is planned for use in IPCC AR5 as part of ESG. Other partners include ESMF, Georgia Tech, GFDL, and members of the European model metadata community.
