They feel about the print newspaper the same way they do about the horse-drawn carriage. ☞ 这个句子写全应该是 They feel about the print newspaper in the same way that they do about the horse-drawn carriage. 介词 in 的省略是出于英语中的习惯性省略用法。通常情况下, 当 in … way 中 way 被 the 、 this 、 that 等修饰时,介词 in 可以省略。 e.g. John! Don’t look at me (in) that way. 被省略的 that 是一个关系副词,引导一个定语从句。在定语从 句的用法中,当先行词是 way 、 reason 、 place 、 the day 、 the time 、 the moment 、 every time 、 each time 等时,关系副词可以省略。 15 GRAMMAR TIP Language study

Do you believe that one day, all printed stuff will be replaced by digital material? Why or why not? 17 Question for further discussion: Hints: After reading Indeed, e-reading is environmentally-friendly. It enables us to access news and information conveniently and instantly. But I don’t think that one day, e-reading will replace all printed stuff. I believe there are people like me—at least—who favor the texture of paper, the aroma of ink and the feel of flicking through pages over dead, lifeless words on a light-emitting screen. Printed stuff does not only offer reading but, to some extent, pieces of art.
