3. Goal The Policy & Compliance team will restructure the Georgia WIC Procedures Manual into a more user- friendly format based on the eleven (11) sections of State Plan Guidance, in collaboration with state and local agency staff

4. Approach to Development Process for developing the new policy and procedures manual: –Create New Policy Numbering System –Include USDA WIC authority –Revised Table of Contents –New Layout –Use 2016 PPM content to develop procedures –Web-based –Utilizing Hyperlinks

5. Where did we begin? Benchmarking Research Compared GA WIC Procedure Manual (PM) with other state’s existing WIC policies and procedures –Texas –California –Michigan –Hawaii –Utah

6. New Policy Numbering System New Policy Numbering System Based on 11 sections of State Plan Guidance Examples: –VM-100.01, 110.01 –NS-200.01, 210.02 And so on ….

7. Revised Table of Contents The numbering system will eliminate the need for a manual table of contents The revised table of contents design is simple Takes the content from narrative form to compartmentalized form Hyperlinks will allow the user to click to each policy individually online
