Tibor Sutoris, Novitech, Slovakia eFarmer kick-off meeting Luxembourg 24-26 January 20053 eFARME R Expected Results of the Project Creation of a FARMER content transformation system producing up-to- date user-friendly rural-aid related content services (the static use of eFARMER content), Introduction of a user-friendly set of rural aid compilation and electronic submission web services (the dynamic use of eFARMER content), Demonstration of sustainability of the business model for providing these services to target group of farmers on a commercial basis through network of representatives/advisors to facilitate eFarmer services – so called eFarmers (eFARMER demonstration).

Tibor Sutoris, Novitech, Slovakia eFarmer kick-off meeting Luxembourg 24-26 January 20054 eFARME R PSI Re-used and Value Added Improving access to high quality digital content for all on the global network - creation of the structured CAP content, Improving access in a multiplicity of languages – providing relevant CAP content dedicated to the farmers in V4 countries (CZ, HU, PL, and SK) – the eFarmer system will communicate in English and four national languages, Accelerating development of the information society in Europe – use of informatics in the area of agriculture is very poor – the eFarmer system brings the opportunity to use IT technology in agriculture through eFarmer agents, Contribution to the objectives of the updated eEurope 2005 action plan – the eFarmer system brings new opportunities for private investment – at the end of the project a private eFarmer Shareholding company will be established.

Tibor Sutoris, Novitech, Slovakia eFarmer kick-off meeting Luxembourg 24-26 January 20055 eFARME R Cross-Border Nature of Source Content and Services The project builds capacities for cross-border nature of services transforming public sector CAP content. This new content is derived from the following sources: Community standard content (DG Agriculture) Country specific CAP content from V4 countries The distribution of the new content and claim submission services into 4 new EU member countries (server in one EU country will be used for other member states) Support for national minorities. Example: farmers in south Slovakia can use CAP content in their mother tongue – Hungarian.

Benefits for users : Time and money savings – no need to communicate with RPA (Rural Payment Agency) representatives by surface mail or in-person, no penalties for missed claim submission term and sent back claims, Fast and easy error correction – error free claims guaranteed by eFarmer system, Easy Access to up-to-date information – CAP content, Achieving higher benefits from EU funds, Increasing simplicity of claim completion and working with ortho-photo maps.
