SIA Kon Lanh1 -grid connected since February 2004 -Free access -TV in “Rong House” -Rice cookers -Lighting at outside toilet -Permanent living -Very few productive activities Ha Dung2 -no electricity, expected from HPP Krong Pa II -(free) kerosene and (free) fuel wood for lighting -Diesel engine for rice milling -Slash and burn agriculture -Very few productive activities

5. SIA Comparative research in 2 villages Expected impacts: Consumptive use: lighting and tv (40% watch frequently) Social conditions: schools and cultural house Productive uses: few impacts, no investment capacity Households can afford neither connection nor fee Recommendations: Stimulate productive activities (e.g. project for repair and maintenance workshop) Financial support needed (both for access and for development of productive activities)

6. Load forecast Ha Dung –20 Mwh, 10 kW –47 Mwh (after 5 years) All 9 villages: 95 kW
