5. Grading Two Midterm Exams: Final Exam (Cumulative):
Multiple choice and (possibly) short answer/essay questions. Each worth 25% of the grade.
Final Exam (Cumulative):
Worth 40% of the grade. You must take the Final Exam at the time scheduled by the University. No Exceptions.

6. Grading Weekly quizzes at the beginning or end of class.
These will be essay/short answer quizzes testing topics from the current or previous week’s lecture.
At the end of the semester, I will drop the lowest two quiz scores. The quizzes will be worth 10% of the course grade.

To review significant events from US history from the colonial period to modern times
To understand how historical events impacted US economic growth.
To understand how economic theory informs us about US History.

No prior knowledge of economics is necessary
