2. THE CHAIN OF AID BEGINS WITH YOU Hunger Day 15th – 17th September What is Hunger Day? Hunger Day is the biggest annual fund-raising campaign arranged by the Finnish Red Cross. Funds are collected for the Disaster Relief Fund, which allows the Red Cross to operate in both Finland and abroad. The funds in the Disaster Relief Fund can be used to provide help quickly, because the donations are not bound to a specific destination.

Volunteers distribute food, water and other aid supplies in Somaliland and Ethiopia, countries suffering from a drought. Aapo Huhta

10. THE CHAIN OF AID BEGINS WITH YOU Hunger Day 15th – 17th September Anyone can join in! Approximately 20,000 volunteers participate in Hunger Day every year. Anyone can act as a box collector. Last year, Hunger Day generated 4.2 million euros.
