1
Integers: One of the positive or negative numbers I,2,3 Ex: 2+(-6)=-4
2
Properties of integers Commutative property of addition-mean that you can add the number in order changing places. -2+4=4+(-2) Commutative property of multiplication-you can multiply numbers in any order without changing the result. -2(4)4(-2)
3
Examples Associative property of addition you can group the numbers and sum anyway we went and still get the same answer. (-2+4)+3=-2(4+3) Associative property of multiplication is the same as the other it tells. you can group any number and still get the same answer -2(4)x3=-2(4x3) Distributive property when a expression involving addition is the multiplied by something it tells you what you can add first and then multiply -2(4+3)=(-2x4)+(2x3)
4
All the properties of the integers Commutative property addition Commutative property multiplication Associative property addition and multiplication Distributive property

Practice problems -4*2=? |-4|*|2|=8 so,-4*2= -3*-2=? |-3|*|-2|=6 so. -3*-2= 1+-7= 9+-7= -2-3= 3- -6= (-4)(11)= (5)(-2)(-7)= 2+8= -2+8=
6
Practice problems –2 + (-8) = 2 + (-8) = 24 – 9= 24 – (-9) = –24 – 9= –24 – (-9) = 14(-4) = (-4)(-14)= 28 ÷ (-7) = –28 ÷ 4 = 5 – (-1) – 4 =
