Focus Copy down the notes below on the first page in your composition book (Do not skip lines) Integer: set of whole #’s, including 0 and their opposite Ex: -3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,…,63,…295 Opposite: the sum of two opp. #’s is 0 Ex: -3 + 3 = 0-46 + 46 = 074 + -74 = 0 Absolute Value: a #’s distance from 0 on the # line Ex: |-3| = 3 |3| = 3

3. ADDING INTEGERS if the signs are the same, ADD and KEEP the signs.
