PCS WAS RUN AT 20 kHz Initial start-up at 1kHz –1 ms response, Power Supplies 4kA/ms When used in feedback for vertical control - 2 kHz oscillation Increased PCS rate to 20 kHz First use of higher rate in anger –0.28 ms system latency –0.35 ms rise time (3db point) similar to filters on PCS digitizer input Vertical growth time of plasma was 2 ms, measured when control was turned off
