Adjectives An adjective is a word used to modify a noun or pronoun.

Adjectives They modify in one of three ways… –1. By telling what kind: It’s a dangerous situation.

Adjectives –2. By pointing out which one: I want to dance with that girl.

Adjectives –3. By telling how many: I want to have two dates. I’ll have several sandwiches.

Adjectives Brain teaser- –True or False? Adjectives always come before the noun or pronoun it modifies?

Adjectives Answer- –False. It may come after the noun or pronoun for emphasis. The dude, tall and suave, fell down.

Adjectives Articles are the most frequently used adjectives: –A, an, the. The raccoon tastes like chicken. He ran over a frog, which also tasted like chicken.

Bellwork Recall the three questions that may be answered by adjectives. In your notebooks, think of your favorite pet, object, or person, and come up with descriptive sentences that include adjectives that answer all three questions
