3. Definition: Involve the physical conditions that affect their senses. Example: Air quality, temperature, noise, light and comfortable seating Students feel secure, comfortable, safe and protected. physical security in the classroom is important because the students should come to a safe environment where things are not broken or damaged. School should be a place where they feel comfortable and enjoy being there.

4. In my practicum classroom My practicum classroom is very large and everything is in working order. My teacher created a reading space for students to relax and read books during their center and free time. Additionally, each student has their own locker in the classroom which gives them a sense of place in the classroom.

7. In my practicum classroom It is important to make sure that the students feel completely comfortable in the classroom, their opinions being heard is vital to the success of the social contract. My practicum teacher makes an effort to ask students what their opinions are and has students work together to collaborate on assignments. There are tables and the students are put into groups to work together. Overall, students should feel comfortable and safe in the classroom with their teacher and with other students. In my practicum classroom there are rules that are established for how to line up, how to transition from station to station, and the expectations are clear. My teacher has posters that are placed around the classroom with things such as class rules, school rules, and transitional rules/directions to follow that allow for successful classroom management.

In my practicum classroom In my practicum classroom there are several posters around the classroom that celebrate student success (word tracker), big events for individual students (the birthday wall), and a poster with a picture of all of the students and two facts about them. My practicum classroom has made strides to make sure that the students feel included in their classroom and that their hard work and success is celebrated. It is a warm and welcoming space.

In my practicum classroom In my practicum classroom my teacher has buckets placed on each individual table that are filled with different materials such as, pencils, crayons, markers, glue, scissors, etc. everything that the students will need in order to complete activities that are given to them. Other resources such as books, paper, and additional pencils are also easily accessible in the classroom as well. Students are able to gather whatever materials that they need. My teachers desk is in the corner of the room on the outskirt of the tables where she can monitor students while they work.

15. Pleasure Definition: The classroom setting is attractive and aesthetically pleasing. Studies suggest that students learn best in attractive classrooms. Aesthetically pleasing classrooms have been shown to positively influence students' behavior.

16. In my practicum classroom In my practicum classroom my teacher tries to make the spaces neat and organized and aesthetically pleasing for the students. She has the tables spaced appropriately apart for effective movement, she has posters that are fun and engaging but not overly distracting, and she has encourages students to put the materials back where they belong so that they can stay organized and do not become overwhelmed when transitioning to other centers.

18. Growth – Intellectual Development Definition: Students should be given a learning-enriched environment that is equipped with materials and resources that encourage intellectual growth and development. Students are more likely to learn if they find the classroom engaging and stimulating.

19. In my practicum classroom My teacher has a lot of resources for students in terms of books, with a wide range of selections of all genres in the classroom library, phonics sets, and computers. Students use the computers for at least thirty minutes every day. The practice that students get with the technology is really wonderful and the students enjoy it a lot. The classroom seems to be a great place for students to work and offers a wide range of academic materials in different mediums.
