3 By reading regularly with your children you are: strengthening your relationship; stimulating their imaginations; developing their understanding of how language works; helping them discover the joys of reading; giving them a secure base for their education

4 Research has shown that Children who read for pleasure achieve more highly at school Parents who support children’s reading make a big difference to how well they do at school
