I. Inputs to the Development of ISPM APPPC Regional Workshop (11th) for the Review of the Draft ISPM funded by Korea again in 2010 (6-10 Sept.) Five drafts will be reviewed Draft revision of ISPM No.7 and No.12 will be introduced and be pre- reviewed.

II. Information Exchange among APPPC Members (Cont.) -Development of an APPPC website It is expected to be officially launched by the end of 2010 after testing and uploading information -A training workshop on use of IPP and APPPC website It has been scheduled under a regional project on phytosanitary capacity building in the year -3rd edition of country profiles of plant protection of APPPC members

III. Capacity building in implementation of ISPMs A programme of a workshop on pest incursion management has been developed -aimed at discussion of the key principles of pest incursion management as outlined in ISPM 9 -examination of case studies from member countries of their responses to specific pest incursions (2-3 case studies) -invite a number of experts in pest incursion management who will facilitate the discussion on pest incursion planning and response, drawing extensively on ISPM 9, selected case studies and the experience of member countries

-participants will be familiar with the processes of dealing with pest incursions in their countries and have the skills to prepare incursion response plans for possible pest incursions -the workshop will be held from 30 August-3 September in Korea

IV. New invasive species Cassava Pink Mealybug ( Phenacocus manihoti) was found in Thailand with serious infestation in some cassava fields
