2. 1. Properly secure drill bits in the chuck of the portable drills.

3. 2. Remove the chuck key from the chuck before the drill is placed in use.

4. 3. The portable electric drill should be used only on those jobs which cannot be done on the drill press.

5. 4. The drill should not be set on the bench or floor until it has stopped turning completely.

6. 5. Always set the portable drill down so as not to damage the drill bit.

7. 6. Never use extreme force in the operation of the portable electric drill.

8. 7. Do not use the electric drill or any electrical tool in and around wet areas.

9. 8. Do not use electric drills around flammable materials.
