2 Goal: provide a community information exchange platform for C-HPP project edited by the community, desseminate protocols, SOAPs etc. Software: Tiki Wiki 9.2 (http://tiki.org) content management system Link: http://c-hpp.webhosting.rug.nl Main concept: main web pages reflected by menu can be mainly edited by admin rigth users. Other registered users can edit main web page of chromosome teams and create arbitrary number of new wiki pages and upload files for attachement. Goal and main concept 7/6/2016 | 2

Chromosomes: Main web page of Chromosome teams and temaplates containing categories providing structure for information that should be reported by each teams. Categories: Listin information of all chromsome teams for given catgory. Resources: Information on SOPs and special datasets. Meetings: information on different meetings such main C-HPP related congress, Bioinformatics TC etc. Events: Contains most important events, milestones or news. About: Contains contact us page and web pahe on C-HPP mission. Registered loged-in users see also a submenu on ”Instruction for authors” providing guidelines for authors to edit the web page. Missing Proteins: Providing overview on number of missing proteins. Bioinformatics protocols: information on bioinformatics protocols used or available at the team. Analytical protocols: information on analytical resources and protocoles used by the team. Biological projects: information on team associated biological projects. Data sets: information on data sets made by the team. Special expertise: information on special expertise or resource availabel at team (e.g. Top-down mass spectrometry, specific protocol for particular PTM enrichement and detection). 14 7/6/2016 | 14 The following information is needed currently for user registration: After registration, the administrator(s) of the page should activate the user acount, which should be confirmed by the user. User is then registered and may edit pages. All user can edit all chromsome main pages, theerfore it is important to make attention to which page you edit. Edit only the Wiki pages of your team! User registration

15 7/6/2016 | 15 General edition advices 1.Every registered user get access to all page that other composed. Edit only your chromosome page or page that you are the source of information. Do not change text of others without reason. 2.Try to be short and informative on your main Chromosome Wiki page. 3.Use new Wiki pages to provide more detailed information or upload downloadable document or provide external link. 4.Avoid orphan pages without having direct or indirect reference to your main Chromosome Wiki page. 5.Email us (details are on the last slide) if you have any question or you would like to change the Wiki structure (add menu or category). 6.Try to describe if the protocol that you have can be applied by others without or with assistance, close collaboration with you is needed or it can be applied only in your laboratory. 7.Provide dates for added items in order to be able easy follow new updates.

16 7/6/2016 | 16 News and future challenges 1.Make automatic update on protein evidences from NextProt, GPMDB, Protein Atlas. 2.Publication of a monthly newsletter of C-HPP Wiki (http://c- hpp.webhosting.rug.nl/) giving overview on the most important news, updates and announcements concerning C-HPP initiative. Reminder for chromosome teams not active to provide information in the Wiki. Next issue end of September 2013. 3.Motivate you to use and fill the C-HPP Wiki with content.
