The NCAA is made up of three membership classifications that are known as Divisions I, II and III. Each division creates its own rules governing personnel, amateurism, recruiting, eligibility, benefits, financial aid, and playing and practice seasons – consistent with the overall governing principles of the Association. Every program must affiliate its core program with one of the three divisions.

Complete the 16 core-course requirement in eight semesters: 4 years of English 3 years of math (Algebra 1 or higher) 2 years of natural or physical science (including one year of lab science if offered by the high school) 1 extra year of English, math or natural or physical science 2 years of social science 4 years of extra core courses (from any category above, or foreign language, nondoctrinal religion or philosophy) Earn a minimum required grade-point average in core courses Earn a combined SAT or ACT sum score that matches the core course grade-point average and test-score sliding scale. (For example, a 3.000 core-course grade-point average needs at least a 620 SAT).

Division III college and universities set their own admission standards. The NCAA does not set initial eligibility requirements in Division III. Students should register with the NCAA Eligibility Center at the beginning of their junior year in high school. At the end of the student's junior year, a transcript, including six semesters of grades, should be sent to the NCAA Eligibility Center from the high school. Students should have their SAT or ACT scores forwarded directly to the NCAA Eligibility Center (by using code "9999") whenever they take the exam.

*When you register there is a $65 fee *Regis’ core classes all correlate with NCAA eligibility requirements. If you go to NCAA you can look up Regis Jesuit High School and make sure of this yourself! *Students who have their status requested by an NCAA college or university are prioritized by the NCAA Eligibility Center for processing. If a student's eligibility status is never requested by a college or university, the NCAA Eligibility Center may not process such a student's certification.

In order for your counselor to send your official transcript to Naviance you must follow the following directions: Go to www.eligibilitycenter.orgwww.eligibilitycenter.org Log in Go to My Planner Go to My Task Open the high school transcript box Click on the box and fill out the forms This allows Naviance to release transcripts to NCAA.
