The woman I admire is my mom. A woman who, in spite of all the problems she had to face along the years, never gave up. Who has always been there for me, to support me in all my decisions and to help me get up every time I fell, since I was a little girl.

She is a fighter and very generous. She is the kind of person who is always there to listen to you and if she can, she tries to help you in every way. I admire her for her strength.

A WOMAN I ADMIRE This was written by my friend Sara. We all agree her aunt is a special person.

My aunt is called Enza, she's 40 years old. She is an interesting and intelligent woman. Now she lives in Naples with her husband and her daughter, but when she was young she lived all over the world:

she travelled for many years from America to Africa, from Europe to Asia, she learned about different cultures and peoples and saw different landscapes. she learned about different cultures and peoples and saw different landscapes. She also worked for many years as a volunteer in Brazil: that experience has changed her life.

On 26th December 2004 she was on Phi Phi Island, in Thailand. On that day the Tsunami struck many countries in East Asia, including Thailand. It was a tragic day for me and my family.

A WOMAN I ADMIRE This is dedicated to a woman who devoted her entire life to study, with determination and desire to learn. She died last December at the age of 103 and she is in the hearts of all of us! RITA LEVI-MONTALCINI

She was born in 1909 to an Italian Jewish family. During World War II her first Genetics Lab was in her bedroom, in her house. She was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1986 for her discovery of the Nerve Growth Factor.

Rita Levi-Montalcini died in her house in Rome on 30th December 2012, at the age of 103. She was the oldest living Nobel Laureate and the oldest ever to reach a 100th Birthday!
