Lesson objectives: To learn how to select relevant details from an extract and present them in a relevant way To understand how texts present an impression or image of their subject

Challenge... You’ve been chosen to represent Bear Grylls at a press conference. Trouble is, you don’t know anything about him... You have 5 minutes to read the article on Bear Grylls, survival expert. You need to compile a LIST of all the things you learn about his career so you can be ready for your interview. You should aim for about 10 things.

Task Read through the article and complete the chart. You need to: Say what impressions are given of Bear Grylls and Channel Four Explain what is said about them, as well as how it is said
