Mainstreaming PPP Work (1) Mainstream and integrate PPP work into NSOs work program to ensure the continuity and cost-effectiveness of the ICP Synergies with CPI surveys Compilation of expenditure-based GDPs / SUTs/ IO Tables Incorporate PPP work into the regional and international agencies’ work program PPP work as an established business line with dedicated regular budget rather than externally funded project Donors’ eagerness to shift funding to activities directly benefiting countries (data collection, technical assistance, workshops, etc.) rather than governance and organization 2

Mainstreaming PPP Work (2) Include PPP-related topics in the agendas of existing working groups Price statistics: Inter-Secretariat Working Group on Price Statistics, Working Group on Real Estate Prices, Ottawa Group on Price Indices National Accounts: Inter-Secretariat Working Group on National Accounts PPP-specific methodologies: Dedicated task forces Incorporate technical assistance activities in price statistics and national accounts expenditure data into existing technical assistance processes undertaken by the IMF, World Bank, Regional Development Banks and UN agencies 3

Gearing up outreach efforts Demonstrate PPP and ICP data value within our institutions Demonstrate PPP and ICP data uses by policy-makers at national level Reach out to policy-makers to secure country commitment in the long-run Combine outreach efforts at global, regional and national level 4
