DSRIP Updates Project Approval Oversight Panel PAOP -CMS requirement for NYS DOH -Panel’s responsibilities include: Review DSRIP applications scored by an independent assessor & advise on whether to accept, reject or modify those recommendations Serve as advisors and reviewers of Performing Provider Systems status and project performance NYP/Q PPS Presentation 1/22/2016 -Presentations will be made annually to PAOP -Provided updates to the panel on the progress of the PPS for both the structure and clinical implementation -Questions from panel focused on CBO engagement and funds flow -Presentations were recorded https://www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/dsrip/project_appro val_oversight_panel.htm NYP/Q PPS PAC Meeting5

PPS Updates Cultural Competency & Health Literacy Strategy Key Concepts of the PPS strategy on CCHL: -Utilizing the community needs assessment (CNA) to identify key priority groups experiencing health disparities -Identifying factors to improve access to quality primary, behavioral, and preventive care services -Surveying partners on current cultural competency and health literacy training/programs -Enhancing communication with the community members on services available and techniques to improve communication during interactions with healthcare providers -Deploying assessments / tools to assist patients with compliance on self- management goals -Leveraging community-based interventions to reduce health disparities and improve outcomes NYP/Q PPS PAC Meeting10

PPS Updates Cultural Competency & Health Literacy Strategy Training Strategy for CC / HL is due 6/30/16 -PPS is looking to incorporate tools such as: AskMe3 TeachBack eLearning Educational Resources -PPS aims to engage patients through: Improved materials such as Chronic Disease Self-Management Materials that have multi-lingual content Community Forums Approved CC / HL Strategy can be found on the PPS Website NYPQ PPS PAC Meeting11

PPS Updates Workforce PPS is required to complete a refined workforce budget & impact analysis for the Q4 report (due April 2016) -Incudes a refined projection of workforce impact and cost for DSRIP based on the data presented in the December 2014 PPS Application PPS will be sending out a current state assessment survey PPS has sent out an RFP for workforce vendors to complete the Compensation & Benefit Analysis -PPS will report on selected vendor and progress at next PAC meeting -Compensation & Benefit Analysis due 6/30/2016 NYP/Q PPS PAC Meeting12
